What size and thickness of board is perfect for you? Remember that thicker boards are heavier than thinner ones. Is your preferred board made from light woods like maple or dark ones such as walnut? Our Craftsman
When Joe Ochoa, a craftsman with decades of experience as a union carpenter, found himself in the scenic surroundings of forested Washington state, he immediately found creative inspiration, and the outcome was remarkable!
Joe operates his home wood shop in Poulsbo, Washington, where he is inspired every single day by his beautiful view. He works diligently to produce boards for homes that capture the essence of his environment. He creates with extraordinary care and is constantly looking to innovate. Joe also makes coffee tables, dining tables, cedar chests, cribbage boards…anything that you can think of!
When starting a new piece, Joe observes the grains and colors of the block and handcrafts a board that honors its natural state, allowing the shape and size to be determined by the wood.
Joe values his craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. Each piece he creates is thoughtfully handcrafted, guaranteeing the highest quality for his customers. He ships everywhere in the United States and can make what you imagine a reality!
